Terms of Service – Users

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.
These Terms apply to individuals using the Services to locate car washes, purchase car-wash services, store vehicle details, or otherwise interact with the platform as a customer (“Users”).
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Services.
By using the Services, you confirm that:
You are legally capable of entering into a binding contract.
You will comply with these Terms and all applicable laws.
2. Account and Access
The Services use anonymous authentication.
Users do not register with names, emails, passwords, or phone numbers.
An anonymous ID is created automatically for your device using Firebase Authentication to allow:
Secure payments
Wash history
Saved registration plates
Basic app functionality
You are responsible for maintaining control of your device.
Anyone using your device may access the Services through your anonymous ID.
3. App Functionality
The Services allow Users to:
Locate participating car washes
View wash types, opening hours, and prices
Purchase washes securely
Store a vehicle registration number
Receive wash confirmations
Access history of previous purchases
View active or in-progress washes
The platform enables communication and payment between the User and the participating car wash.
The platform itself does not provide washing services.
4. Payments
All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
By using the Services, you agree that:
You authorise the payment for the selected wash.
You must ensure your chosen payment method is valid.
Stripe may store payment tokens for faster checkout.
The platform may pre-authorise or verify your payment method.
Payment amounts, prices, offers, and fees are displayed before completing your purchase.
You are responsible for ensuring your bank card is authorised for online and mobile transactions.
5. Fees
Car-wash prices are set by the individual car-wash business.
The platform may charge an additional service fee, displayed during checkout.
All pricing is shown clearly before payment is confirmed.
6. Refunds
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.
You are entitled to a refund if:
You paid for a wash that was not provided.
There was a technical error and payment was taken without service.
A duplicate or accidental charge occurred.
You are not entitled to a refund if:
You changed your mind after payment.
You selected the wrong wash type.
You were dissatisfied with the quality of the wash provided by the car wash.
All refund requests must be submitted through the platform or by email.
Refunds may require verification or evidence.
The platform reserves the right to deny a refund if misuse, fraud, or dishonest behaviour is suspected.
7. Use of Location Services
The Services may request access to your device’s location.
Location access is used only to:
Show nearby participating car washes
Assist with navigation
Improve accuracy and user experience
Detect arrival at a wash site
You may disable location at any time, although the Services may not function correctly without it.
Location data is processed anonymously and is not used for advertising.
8. Vehicle Registration Information
You may save a vehicle registration number to speed up future purchases.
You confirm that:
The registration number is accurate
You have permission to use the vehicle
You accept full responsibility for correct vehicle identification
Car washes may rely on your registration to identify your purchase.
Incorrect or misleading information may result in delays, mistakes, or refusal of service.
9. Behaviour and Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
Interfere with or disrupt the Services
Misuse features or attempt to exploit the platform
Falsify wash completion or vehicle details
Attempt to reverse engineer or access restricted parts of the system
Use automated systems (bots, scrapers, scripts)
Engage in fraud or unlawful behaviour
Upload harmful software or attempt to breach security
The platform may suspend or restrict access if misuse or suspicious activity is detected.
10. Car-Wash Services Provided by Third Parties
The platform acts as a facilitator.
All washing services are provided by independent car-wash businesses.
The platform is not responsible for:
Quality of service
Speed of service
Staff behaviour
Damage to vehicles
Any actions of the car-wash operators
Any disputes relating to wash quality or physical damage must be handled directly with the car wash.
We may assist at our discretion but are not liable for the service itself.
11. Service Availability
We aim to keep the Services available at all times, but:
Access may be interrupted
Features may be changed or removed
Maintenance or outages may occur
Service availability depends on third-party providers (Stripe, Firebase, Google Cloud)
We are not liable for losses caused by downtime or technical failures.
12. Intellectual Property
All content within the Services — including software, branding, logos, UI design, text, and graphics — is protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not:
Copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works
Use the platform’s branding without permission
Reverse engineer the app
Reproduce or mirror the Services
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive licence to use the Services for personal use only.
13. Termination and Suspension
We may suspend or terminate your access if:
You violate these Terms
Fraudulent behaviour is detected
Required by law
The platform is discontinued
Security concerns arise
Abuse, misuse, or interference is observed
You may stop using the Services at any time by deleting the app.
Termination does not affect:
Past payments
Outstanding obligations
Legal rights or remedies
14. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
The platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
No warranties or guarantees are given.
We are not responsible for losses resulting from third-party car-wash services.
We are not liable for technical issues, outages, or errors.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the platform from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from:
Your misuse of the Services
Your breach of these Terms
Your violation of law or third-party rights
Any fraudulent or abusive behaviour
16. Changes to the Terms
These Terms may be updated periodically.
Continued use of the Services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
The updated date will always appear at the top of the document.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
